As an avid skier, I find it easy to criticize skiing games for their lack of realistic physics.
This game, however, leaves little to be critiqued in terms of physics. As you fly off the first jump, you automatically feel as if you are on the ski slopes in Aspen. The physics is so real. Everything is simulated perfectly.
The graphics, at times, can leave something to be desired. On my machine, it seems almost as if the skier is shaking a lot. Regardless of this, the game, overall, really is terrific.
It can help to simulate stunts very well, so that you won’t have to start practicing on the slopes. Sometimes the mouse interface, the controls, and the turning and such can leave something to be desired. But after figuring these out, it is quite easy to work the skier in the jumps. There really is nothing like this game when it comes to reality.
There is such range of stunts you can do. Everything from the easiest of jumps, to the hardest of in air acrobatic maneuvers, which make you seem weightless. I feel though, that the starter jumps, and the easier stunts help you to practice your way into being able to do the harder jumps. The programming

and level setups are terrific in that way. It seems as if the developers of this game did not want you to be stumped by how to do one trick or another.
The developers seemingly want you to be able to, with practice, do any of the stunts in the game. When I say this game is realistic, I mean it, everything down to the crashing and getting hurt. You can for see in the game when you are about to fall, or crash, because of the reality of the feel of the game. But the ease of the controls makes you feel like a virtuoso on the stunt course, even if you never have skied before. You feel like James Bond in one of his movies, as my son says. Besides being an avid skier, I am also an avid gamer, and I have much experience in developing, as well as playing games. I am astonished at the accuracy of the developers.
I also hope that, in future, we will continue to see game developing such as this. There is no pre-scripting in this game, which means that you, the player, are completely free to navigate the course as you wish, come death-defying acrobatics, or death-inducing crashes.
