Game Review 1 (written by Nomotor) Added on: 07/07/2009
Loved this game. It really gives a feel for football managing. Absolutely brilliant, cannot stop playing it! I love the way it is so simple to navigate around the game and co-ordinate a club, making transfers, negotiations, trades and such forth, and then managing your team during games and dealing with sponsors and et cetera. It is great fun doing it, and since it is all down to you, from training to trading, then the results are your own to cherish and appreciate.
It was truly a great experience playing this game.
I am particularly fond of Liverpool, so I took this team, and helped them to make their way up the ladder and guide them to success, under the control of the greatest manager they will ever see. Its fun just being there and I imagine it’s much like being a real manager, just all fun, and none of those bad fiascos that inevitably arise in the real world. Its great logging on there to play, just signing is as a football manager and taking part in a key role in the functioning of your favorite team in the greatest game on earth. It’s even more fun being able to choose sponsors and how stands are built and priced, deciding how you respond to questions

and comments, and being able to alter almost everything about yourself, your players and your club. It was a great decision choosing this game and it just has something unique to it over all other football managing games I’ve tried.
Some just try to copy it, but don’t quiet make the mark this has set. It is one to tell the grandkids about, spectacular. The precision of it, the amount of work you do, the control you have, and the fun above all, that you have is great, and the love from your fans and team is there too. It’s just enjoyable to log in and play with each new day, guiding the team more and more and helping in all areas, from big, in the sense of stadium building, to general, in terms of training, to more in depth, in terms of line up, to even closer, in terms of in game decisions. This gives full control to the user and it is amazing to play.
Ultimate Soccer Manager amazed me ten years ago and amazes me now. It is superb how this was developed, highly recommended to all.

Game Review 2 (written by Killamonjaro) Added on: 03/15/2007
Ultimate Soccer Manager is a soccer management video game series for MS-DOS and later Windows 95, produced by Impressions and distributed by Sierra from 1995 to 1999.
The series was noted for its micromanagement, where the player had to do the job of the team manager, from player training up to bank balance management. Other well known features were to bung an opposing team for preferential market treatment, rig or betting on the outcome of the players' team matches.
In all three games of the series, the game always kept the same visual style: the main screen is a bird's eye view of the stadium facility (where clicking on the grass brings the squad selection screen or in the stands for the stadium builder) and all screens are presented like the player was inside an office (TCM 2004 used a similar interface option). To increase the feeling of "being there", tables are accessed via teletext, news from a newspaper and fixtures are available by clicking on a sheet attached on a clipboard.
The graphics are good for its time. The gameplay is similar for the games of this genre. It’s a tactical game. You can improve your stadium by putting food vendor, increase the price of the ticket, change the way you do your training and so on.
So if you are a fan of soccer management games, try this one too.

What a brilliant game and before I played on Champ Man 97/98 the best management game for me by a long way. It's so user friendly even compared to FM or CM and I hope I can get to play it really soon!

Great game! The only manager game to even come close to Championship Manager. It's very realistic and also highly playable. I like it as you can offer bungs & bet on certain matches. Also it good for building stadiums and also the financial side is in depth but not too much. Great game
