This is a great game for all racing enthusiasts. I first played this on the Sony Play Station Console in 2000. I was drawn to the game's futuristic graphics and speed of the visuals. This game may not be for everyone because of the difficulty of steering the crafts through the very fast courses. There is a gradual learning curve which allows for everyone to learn how to pilot these futuristic machines through the time vortex.
What is also nice is the power ups you can pick up while racing against the formidable foes.

your speed and handling. At the higher levels the game moves so fast you can hardly keep up with your eyes as the track speeds by and the enemy crafts become aggressive. Also you are not invincible. Your craft can take damage and you'll need to recharge the shields with a pit stop or else the ship will explode on you and that won’t be good. If you blow up your head will explode out your tailpipe which is done in a very cartoonish way that somehow always benefits your losing status.
Although these occurrences are rare it is fun to make other ships explode as you can imagine the little characters dieing in a comical fashion.
But really Wipeout XL is an awesome game that you should play because if you fancy fast futuristic machines blowing your head off that's awesome. I should also mention that if you play whilst intoxicated the game sensation is heightened to levels you could not imagine otherwise. I also have to mention that playing this game on your computer will not be as good as playing it on the Play Station Console. Also this game came out for the Nintendo 64 super fantastic console. That was also a fun game. But you should check to see if this game is compatible with your current hardware before playing and as always a good joystick is always recommended. Don’t get left in the dust. Play Wipeout XL.

Absolutely loved this game on the Playstation. I managed to get all the way to the last class which was incredibly fast.

I love the Wipeout series! Admittedly, this is quite a step back from Hi-res, aggressive AI, packed-with-more-features-than-a-Swiss-army-knife and pumping dance soundtrack Wipeout Fusion, but this still r0x my s0x! Awesome. A must.

Special Instructions (Source: Support Team | Added on: 03/26/2007)
The game has to be extracted to c:\wobble
The easiest way is to extract the game to c:\. Most uncompress tools (e.g. winzip) will extract it to c:\wipeoutxl. Now rename the directory wipeoutxl to wobble.
Run SKLCRACK.COM before you start the game.
