This was always my favorite game back in the day and it’s great that you can download it for free from this site. Basically as the title suggests you are immersed into the world of a boxing manager. You can choose up to 5 boxers to manage and each has their own attributes such as strength, accuracy, speed and stamina. When you have chosen your boxer(s) you have to negotiate their contract, in fact there is quite a lot of negotiating to be done in this game.

The main game area is your office which comes complete with your very own sultry secretary to fetch files for you. The aim is to get your boxer(s) as high up in the league as possible. In
an attempt to do this you must arrange fights with other boxers by calling up their managers, deciding a date and negotiating how much of the fight “purse” you are willing to give him. Until fight night comes round you need to get your boxer into the best shape as possible by talking to your very convenient onsite trainer. You can then set the training regime and choose up to 3 attributes to work on at any one time. Across the hall from the gym is just as convenient physio who will tell you how your boxers training is affecting his physical attributes and after a fight , how well he is recovering from any injuries that he may have picked up. You can also call up either of your two scouts who can spy on your opponents and tell you of their weaknesses which helps you when deciding your fighting tactics.
When fight night comes along you get in your sexy red sports car (every boxing managers must have accessory) and head off down to the venue. You sit in the bar and decide on which match to watch live. You don’t actually see the fight itself which is a little disappointing, however this minor issue does not detract from the overall fun of the game. You witness the fight through the comments of the two commentators a bit like the old championship manager games. Before the fight kicks off you have to instruct your boxer on his tactics which is usually determined by firstly what your boxer has a high attribute value for and secondly what the opponent’s weaknesses are. In between rounds you have to do on-site repairs to any injuries your fighter has received.
The fight sequences are fairly realistic and as in boxing in real life your boxer wins if you either knock the other guy out or after 10 rounds the judges score your boxer higher.
The graphics are fairly tasty for its age and there are lots of interactive parts to this game, I would definitely recommend it for fans of management games.
