Wrestle mania, honestly what’s to say? We have all been inspired by pro wrestlers since we were young. Many of us would play fight and sometimes seriously fight with our brothers as certain characters. At one time or another we’ve all anted to choke slam or DDT someone. This game although very primitive in today’s standards of real life gaming; is still very addicting. It allows you to take out some of frustrations by beating up on some old childhood wrestlers that are mostly now retired.
Although many people now prefer the use of Ps2, Xbox in my opinion this game allows you to easily exact you’re favourite moves easily and efficiently.
The music in this game is awfully annoying at times. Especially as I did by entering a long match with the Bulldog; the graphics at the time were unannounced but now as many games it is out dated but still amazingly addictive. I found myself playing for hours upon hours I couldn’t put it down. The characters who are mostly found in the nearest nursing homes or on the Florida coast line are hilarious to look at. The 3 dimensional look the creators were going for made them look like an image from a satellite picture. The
stadiums are quite amusing the crowd’s reaction to a pin is delayed by a few seconds. By the time the victorious wrestler is holding his fists in the air the crowd made of card board; finally awakes with applause similar to a fake laughter in a television show.
Overall the game play is quite simplistic at first the first three or four matches are amusingly easy with no degree of difficulty. But as in any ancient gaming system as you play longer the levels get harder and harder to the point were you had better just have a cheat or your not going to beat it. This is what makes them so addictive you get near the end but yet still cannot punch through the last level. The thought of being out done by a computer is maddening it drives you to play it for endless hours till you beat it. I was in the library at my college when I finally won the last match for the world champ “studying for exams”. That’s how addicting this game is I couldn’t put it down it became an obsession till I beat it.
