Man, we played this game when we were kids for hours and hours on end. The more you play, the more you can notice patterns in other players' moves. It reminded me of Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego because you had to keep track of all the places you've been and who was going where. I can't remember how many players can play at once, but there was always someone willing to play the game. We even used to bring this game out at family get togethers.
I know, I know it sounds cheesy, but cousins and siblings keep score of all their wins and losses. I think every kid dreams of being a police officer at one point or another. This game provides you a high level overview of what it takes to piece all the clues together to catch the criminal. Obviously, the graphics were not great, but the constant feeling of keeping your opposition on their toes added to the excitement. I can't remember how to start the game or how it begins. You choose what room you want to start in and then you make your way throughout several levels while collecting several clues along the way. There are several different levels as well. As the game progresses

and you earn experience, your experience levels obviously go up, but at the same time your detective level increases as well. The one thing I must say is that the criminals for some reason seem to look looped and the characters become routine. You have several tools available at your disposal. These tools will help assist you in the retrieval of documents and clues. You keep these documents and clues in a chest or portfolio view (whatever your preference). You will look for eye colour, motives, hair colour, glasses, balding, masks, knives, guns, chains, candle sticks, cameras (to take photos). You also have crime lab you can return to to pick up the latest intelligence on what some other players are doing and where they are searching for clues. You can also try and use the help or cheat button. This button will provide you a clue or cheat, but beware. Asking for a clue or a cheat will cause you to lose valuable experience points and may even drop you down a level. The good thing, though, is you can ask for as many cheats and at any time. This is a good one.
