Game Review (written by Shannon) Added on: 12/02/2007
Dragon’s Breath, also marketed as Dragon Lord, is a good fantasy strategy game that sees the hero as the leader of an army of dragons attempting to conquer the world by procuring the magical talisman.
Hidden within the depths of the throne room within the castle built atop Dwarf Mountain lies the secret of immortality. The mountain is also the heart of the great evil that plagues the realm of Anrea. The villages on Anrea’s outskirts, far away from the mountain, became prosperous. Those nearest the mountain are plagued by myriad evils.

the throne hall and immortality.
The user can choose between a vampires, a beast and an alchemist. The remaining two players can be assumed by other human opponents or AI. The 3D map will show the location of the user’s home castle. Within it is the library, one of the most crucial buildings in your possession. It offers information on all accounts, the production of towns, spells, and payments due. Through the library, the game is divided into several parts. Number one is alchemy, where the gamer learns of magically combining various ingredients to make spells among other things. The ingredients for alchemical experiments are purchased from traveling merchants, or often received as tribute from the villages under your command. The second faction of the game is breeding the many different types of dragons needed to expand and defend the realm. They can be nurtured and strengthened through alchemical reactions. (Alchemical mistakes can also weaken or stupefy dragons.) Third, the user will have to micromanage the villages in the political and economical aspect of the game. Finally, there is dragon combat where villages are taken over and enemy troops are attacked.
Dragons are the only weapons at your disposal so it is important to keep them as powerful as possible. Alchemy is the best resource for this, providing you don’t make a dire error and blow up the lab or do something that will hurt the dragons themselves. It is imperative that the dragons take over as many villages as possible because the portions of the talisman are hidden in the villages. These are required to complete the game.
Overall, Dragon’s Breath is a unique game with many interesting features. The graphic display and sound both reflect the age of the game, but the interface is good, especially given the complexity of the game itself. Overall, it is an excellent strategy game and worth a download.
