This is a very good game for anyone who wants to have some simple game play with a strategy game, the controls are simple, and very similar to many other games of the same genre like star craft and command and conquer.
The quick background story of the game is simply the world was destroyed by a nuclear war and the majority of people perished, leaving only a few to fight for whatever is left on the ravaged earth. The game offer two different races for the player to choose from, one side is the survivors from the nuclear blast, who lived by hiding underground, and emerged back to the surface to attempt to inhabit the earth again, only to find themselves opposed to the mutants, or the evolved, which is the other side offered by the game.
the evolved in my opinion has much better capabilities, one obvious observation I have made was that the evolved has much better towers than that of the survivors, meaning that with the evolved a new player can much better defend their base and more easily fend off attacks than with a survivor camp, thus giving a new player more of a chance to win, and allow him or her to concentrate on the dynamics of game-play rather than worrying on how to survive.
The backbone objective of the game is to collect as much oil, which is the one and only resource of the game, and spend it as efficiently as possible, because each oil well is limited and expansion are very costly and dangerous, thus making
an efficient management of your economy a very important point in the game.
Another feature of the KKND game-play is the option to upgrade the buildings for more advanced weapons and creature options, while more advanced creatures gives a player better chances of winning a battle, there is a downside, which is that the more advanced the technology gets, the slower their movement is, which means a group of the most advanced units can be easily crushed by a massive force of cheaper and basic units through clever management and knowing what type of units can deal more damage to which specific opposing soldier.
In my opinion, KKND is a very good game, even though the game-play is not very advanced and lacks fancy options, the simplicity and fun of the game more than makes up for it.
