Krush, Kill & Destroy: Krossfire is a real time strategy game. If you liked Command & Conquer or the War Crafts 1 and 2 this game is worth a try. Its difficult AI makes it a challenging game to beat. You can play as either one of two teams, the Survivors or the Evolved. The game takes place after a huge nuclear war which left the earth ruined and destroyed. The survivors or humans took cover underground during the war to escape the harmful effects of the radiation.
When they emerge from the ground years later they find a new evolved race of mutants roaming the earth and a new war is on. The evolved units are more like creatures and
mutated beasts with missiles and the survivors have a more human technology to them. Like tanks and infantry. For money in this game both teams have only one resource they need to collect, oil. There are various different oil patches all over the map and your first job should be in securing a few of these. You need to construct oil tankers along with oil refineries to insure a steady flow of cash. I found the AI to be quite difficult in this game, well not smart but any means the computers guys still did manage to get stuck from time to time but when they attack you had better be ready. I found myself having to replay several missions and saving quite often. One strategy I found that was really helpful was to construct 2 or 3 turrets at the entrance to your base and then have them guarded by 4 to 6 mechanics so they can be repaired easily and fast in the middle of a battle. The best way to win each level I found was to mass attack their base with a huge force. Remember to always target their oil supply structures first and then their unit producing facilities. There are also tech bunkers hidden throughout the map. These tech bunkers are left from the once thriving civilization that used to inhabit the earth and have inside them advanced technological weapons. Such as a mechwarrior and future tank. These units are a must to get and will help you greatly on that mission. Just make sure you get them before the enemy does. To open up a bunker just have your mechanic run inside and out will come your new toy.
