MAX: Mechanized Assault Exploration is a strategy game that is unique because it allows you to choose between a turn-based game and a real-time strategy mode. The game also has numerous missions and a campaign mode. You can also customize the difficulty settings of the game by changing the turn limits and other factors.
Played with a top-down view, you will be mission commander of the MAX. It is a military management game. At the start of the game you must choose among the eight factions.
To support your whole military system you must find and mine the resources from the planet. Your goal is to conquer as many territories as possible and to defend your colony from opponents who may become interested in it because of its resources. The game has many fantastic options in terms of buildings and other infrastructures that can be built in your territories.
There are also some 50 units that you can use for combat in the air, land and sea and the units can be upgraded to improve their performance in terms of speed, range and armor. You will have to use strategy in building the strongest colony with the best troops. These options really make the game big and interesting. It also
has a very good replay value because the game changes every time you play it.
The only downside of this game versus the other strategy and role playing games is the game takes a while to learn because of the many elements of the game. But once you get the hang of the game, these are the same elements that make the game truly exciting. You may also play the tutorial campaign at the start so that you can learn the controls and the other methods in winning the game.
The game can be played by up to four players with your three opponents composed of human opponents. There are already four alien/ cyborg colonies on the planet where you will start your colony and the three other human colonies are set to arrive after you. The AI is pretty tough to beat which makes the game even more challenging even for the most experienced gamers.
The game features clean graphics and amazing animation. When you combine this with really good AI, you have a fantastic game. The music and the controls also add to the value of the game.
