Master of Magic is game much like Sid Meyers Civilization. The game sets you up as a master of your choice and you control the race of you choosing.
Graphics: The graphics aren’t exactly top notch but that is mostly because of the time it was made in. The graphics easily portray the characters and every character has its own sprite which goes along with the race and class of the unit.
Sound: Scary DOS noises however if you just shut your speakers off there is nothing for you to worry about and you can enjoy this great game while listening to whatever kind of music you like.

Sound: Scary DOS noises however if you just shut your speakers off there is nothing for you to worry about and you can enjoy this great game while listening to whatever kind of music you like. The spells all have their own sound bit but its nothing that you want
to sit down and listen to time and time again. However you will want to at least once sit down and watch the opening video to this game, its nothing spectacular but for some reason it’s the opening video that I can’t seem to forget.
Game-play: Every turn you move your units and begin construction on the next unit or building you wish to construct. You also choose what spells you want to learn and cast spells on your units, enemy units, or on the whole world map. The game proceeds in a turn by turn way by allowing you to move and then letting your opponents move. (Side note: If you have the patch for this game which I highly recommending getting the neutral units will also be able to move each turn. This makes the game much more difficult because you will have wondering monsters and raiders attacking you along with your enemies.)
Replay value: This game has an immense replay value because of the different difficulties, Masters, Races, Spell books, and maps. This game seems like a completely new game every time you start up a new game.
Final Judgment: Master of Magic is a great game that allows for many different ways to play. All the classes have different things about them that you need to learn in order to be able to defeat your opponents. The wide array of heroes for hire also adds to the strategy when mobilizing your troops. This is a game that has easily survived the tests of time and is still an awesome game even by today’s standards. If you can look past the iffy graphics and lovable DOS noises you will see that this is a game well worth playing.
