Game Review (written by Jodiandbob) Added on: 05/31/2007
Mech Brigade is a game I first played back around the year 1995. I'm not sure, if this is the year the game was published or not. I am fairly certain that Mech Brigade was designed with the MS-DOS operating system in mind, although it was available on other platforms, I am pretty sure. I used to find a seat away from my teacher in computer class and play this game for an entire period. At the time I was very impressed with the graphics in this game and the sound was also very good for the time in which the game was made.
I've beat the game at least 20 times and I will probably beat it at least 20 more times now that I have found it again.

I don't think a whole lot of people are familiar with this particular game so I will try to explain it as well as I possibly can. The gameplay is a lot like the older version of the ever famous series Command and Conquer. But, instead of commanding the same-old-same-old human armies and vehicles like you would have to do in Command and Conquer you control huge armies of mechs (robots created for war) like the mechs in the newer Mech Warrior series similar to Transformers. Each level is very unique in its very own way. Each level

has its very own terrain, resources and mission.

It took me a very long time to beat this video game, because it was one of the very first video game I have ever played. The controls take some getting used to, after playing all the newer real time strategy games. Once you get used to the controls the game becomes very involved and entertaining. The replay value on the game is almost infinite, because of the many options you have with your army. You can change everything from the armor on the individuals to the weapons and specials features of the individual units.

I had a lot of fun playing this game. I'm sure, if people gave it a chance it would soon be up among their favorite real time strategy games. The story is very involved as well as the gameplay and music. It takes a while to get into, but once you get into this game you won't want to put this video game down. You should definitely try this game. I think gamers of all different ages will enjoy this game. Mech Brigade is definitely a true classic so download, play and have fun with this great timeless.
