When I started playing this game I had little hope of it being very entertaining, but it was surprisingly good. It's a text based game that lets you run for president of the United States. You can choose from either a historical campaign (ie Nixon vs. Kennedy, or Reagen vs. Carter) or using two candidates of your own design. When creating a character you can choose how each candidate feels about different subjects, such as cutting military spending to balance the budget. The election process is spread out over 7 weeks, with a graphic showing which candidate is leading at the end of each week, and by what percent.
Once you get going in the game you can debate the other candidate, and decide where to campaign and how much to spend campaigning in certain states. It was a lot more in-depth than I thought it would be. There is a map of the United States with states colored different colors showing which candidate each state favors. This is one of the better tools in the game to offer feedback to the user. I do wish it had more variety when re-playing, and it could have been a little more in- depth. A lot of the game was just punching in numbers repetitively, and pressing the occasional Y or N when you needed to make a decision. I wish politics

was that easy in real life. All that aside I found it easy to get caught up in this game, and enjoyed trying to defeat my fictional opponent. I enjoyed this game very much, but after playing through a few times it does get kind of old. I'm sure in a month or two I'll be coming back for more. If you like politics, or strategy games in general, you should download this game. President Election is a quick and easy game that is surprisingly fun. It's a classic game that really makes you realize how far computer games have come in the last 20 years. There was one odd thing about it though. I made my own candidates, one named Bush and one named Gore. All the results showed that Gore won, but for some reason Bush was named the winner. LOL! Overall, (obviously) it has the capabilities of presenting a realistic model, even for modern elections, based on the information you input into its processor. It is an interesting and educational gaming experience.
