Game Review (written by Chrissi) Added on: 11/16/2007
Spellcross is a turn based strategic war game. The game has been split into two levels, which are strategic and tactical. During the strategic part you will decide what is the more suitable territory to attack and the direction you want to take in research. The actual battle that takes place within the selected territory takes place in the tactical part. When you are in battle every single unit will have a specific number of action points that you will decide how they use them.
The ways that they can be used are by moving, attacking and a few other special activities that you have to selection from.
You as the player are taking the part of a commander who is in charge of a small battle group of the Alliance. The objective of the game is to get to the top of command. To become on top of the hierarchy command you must fulfill all the achievements in each objective in the battle missions against the ‘Other Side’. Alliance has the use of armory and strength on the modern army vehicles, weapons, and the units while the other side will be using magical powers and creatures. With the ‘Other Side’ being a whole new type of character you

will experience the unexpected in the battles between you and their army. It may become difficult at times, but once you figure out how to defeat certain characters with your men you will be slaughtering some evildoers in no time.
There are two versions of this game that are available. There is the Czech version and the English version. With the English version some of the graphics and animations have been altered to improve them slightly compared to the Czech. For example, the strategic maps are now whole new pictures. The design of the missions have been altered as well, some have even been joined. The English version has included a tutorial and cheats codes making it a little easier than the Czech. There are two difficulty settings in English and three in Czech. With the two versions being available some may want to play both just to see the differences between each.
Spellcross displays a great contemporary earth military that is fighting for survival against the invasion of orcs, undead, harpies and many more alike. This game has the modern day military with the fantasy clichés that is very original and amazing design. This game is without a doubt a great combat game with a twist here and there. Definitely would enjoy a sequel to come of this game. Spellcross is definitely out of this world.

This game rocks, one of my favorite ones. I like this game more than other new games. I really want to see this game as a remake or something because it’s one of that games that you must play
