Game Review (written by Cervontose) Added on: 05/03/2007
The gameplay is simple, yet fun. You either choose to save the towns (Gaia), or destroy them (Thanatos). From the impending lava flow that threatens to destroy the town. There is really no storyline that I noticed. Just fast, easy to learn gameplay that is fun and makes you think before you press 'go'! You start by choosing the play mode you'd like, from either of the two choices. Both use the same maps/village placement.
As Gaia, you either raise the land to change lava flow away from a village, or lower it to create a pit for the lava to fill.
This one in my opinion takes more skill, as it is harder to direct the lava flow from destroying the villages. Taking 'gravity' into consideration, you must carefully examine the playing field first before letting loose the lava. Some levels will have to be re-played because you make a minor misplacement of a hill or hole. As Thanatos, you basically destroy houses by letting the lava go, then simply clicking the remaining houses. There is not much to say about this other then you can fly through the levels this way.
The colors/graphics are not bad and the sound is alright. Can be played at low resolutions and without a 3d accelerated graphics. Sounds are alright there really is not much

to say about them. They do enhance the game otherwise it would seem very dull.
All in all, it is a wonderful game that will take up a few hours of gameplay if any of that is appealing to you. It can be fun toying with the way the lava flows when you make mountains or holes, so you can tinker with that too if you get bored of the original gameplay styles! Also I made some art with the hills and holes the made the lava flow!
