I played Warcraft a very long time ago on my Sony Play station and I loved it! You basically have to build your own little town, build your army and at the same time your enemy is doing the same thing. When things get a little crowded, the war begins. You can choose from a variety of different ways you can create your army. But don't forget to gather enough gold and lumber to keep your village growing, and you will need plenty of farms.
The more farms you have the bigger the army you can create.
Some people think it is wise to build a small army as quick as possible and attack to keep your enemy's arm small while yours is growing. But the real challenge is playing without fighting as long as possible and building your army as big as you can, and don't forget to position your men around your village. If the enemy is going to attack early these men will let you know if they are trying to sneak into your village for a surprise attack. If you are looking for a good war game play this classic game it will keep you entertained for hours, because there is always
a different way you can do things and the longer you play the more you will find out.
You can study the different ways you played, write down positions and building placements. You can send out spies to find your enemy and see just how big they are getting, but you do not have to attack them right away. You can keep your guy you sent to spy hanging around the enemy’s village to keep an eye on things or you can try and take a few workers out once in a while.
Over all this is one of the better games I played in the 90's. But it would have to be the original first cut games, when they make a sequel it seems like they add way too much more options to the game play. I'm not talking about graphics; I think the better the graphics the better the game. What I am talking about is some times there are too many button combos to remember. Looking back though and playing some of the classic games I used to play the graphics look so much different than I use to remember. But I still like playing the classic games.
