Game Review 1 (written by Whitlow23) Added on: 10/22/2009
Bejewled is a gem swapping game, where you have to match three or more gems of the same type in order to score as many points as possible before the time runs out. It’s a very quick paced game and lots of fun. You need a quick hand and even quicker eyes! It’s a game for all ages, as myself and ten year old daughter try and best each other quite often.
The game starts with a full window of gems, and the more you swap the more fall down from the top. If you manage to get three in a row they disappear and three more will fall down, if you get four in a row, you make an exploding gem, which when matched with three or more other gems will explode one gem in every square around it. Match five gems and it produces a hyper cube which if you swap with any color will destroy all gems of that color on the screen, making it easier to find more to match. You also receive bonus points for combos and cascades to. Depending on where you play this game there are different modes available, such as:
Normal - you progress to the next level when a certain score has been reached.
Puzzle - you have to destroy all the gems in order to progress to the next level. If you fail to do so the level will reset and you keep trying.
Timed - try to get a high score as possible before the timer runs out to progress to the next level. The timer will fill up as you score points and as you get further and further the timer will start to decrease quicker making it harder to find the swaps.
Endless - Endless is an untimed, unscored, and never ending version of Bejeweled. The player can make moves at whatever pace they wish, without the worry of running out of moves. This game is intended to be relaxing or for beginners.
With the two modes, normal and timed, if you run out of moves before the timer decreases, or you haven’t reached the certain score to progress the game will end.
It’s a highly addictive, yet highly frustrating game, but the incentive of trying to beat your last score, or trying to get to that next level, will always have you going back for more.Game Review 2 (written by Cpg-) Added on: 01/23/2009
Bejeweled Deluxe is the classic game of swapping precious stones that inspired hundreds of match three style games. Use your wits, logic, and keen eye for detail to make efficient trades of one jewel for another, forming sparkling sets of stones. When they disappear, more will replace them. The more matches you make, the bigger your score will be. Play on one of two difficulty levels, timed or untimed, and ask for hints if you just can’t make up your match!

It's the classic gem-swapping game that started the craze! Swap adjacent gems to match three or more sparkling jewels. The more matches you make, the higher your score. And if you're ready for a bigger challenge, try the Time Trial!Advanced and Expert modesHelpful hints on demandSpecial effects!
